Buy On Amazon

Let’s figure out what is the best way to navigate this and if it’s worth buying or not;

Build, Design and Comfort:

Build, Design and Comfort

If we talk about the build then the build of the Sennheiser HD 560s is not anything special. It’s a black version of their HD5 series which is different from the HD6 series because HD5 has this back-piece instead of the double-sided yokes structure that exists in the HD6 series.

Most people don’t prefer the look but the double-sided thing. They’re made of plastic but the quality is quite premium and indestructible which lasts for a longer time and is robust enough for daily use.

For comfort, they are super comfortable because they weigh only 240gms which is light in weight. It’s another advantage of using plastic materials.

Sennheiser HD 560S review

There’s a little bit of clamp and it does loosen over time. It does have the ability to be disappeared on your head. Thankfully the pads on the headphone are huge and have a massive oval opening that easily fits your ear. The pads are moderately comfortable for many people.

Source Pairing, Drivability & Scaling:

There is a single entry cable that is terminated in a quarter-inch plug and you can use the adaptor to use 3.5 mm devices.

It is worth remembering that this headphone comes with a very similar price to the Sennheiser HD6XX which is of course the legendary headphone.

If we talk about drivability, it is an important subject because the 560s has a 1x Dynamic driver that has a 120-ohm impedance. But there’s no need for such a power in this but on the other hand, it is recommended as an amplifier of sound. You can probably run this often from your phone, laptop, and computer. There’s no need to have a high impedance for better performance.

It could have been more efficient when it comes to scaling as one can be using an amplifier for better performance and versatility.

Sound: Technical Performance

The Sennheiser HD 560s does very well with the technical performance as it comes with the price of 199.95$. Detail retrieval, soundstage, and speed are the features that make it considerably better than any other headphone.

There’s a much easier distribution of left and right soundstages in the Sennheiser HD 560s the HD 6X0 series.

Sound: Frequency Response

The Sennheiser HD 560s frequency response is very much close to neutral, except for the bass region and when above 5 kHz. It means you can use it without any EQ and still get incredible results. Whereas, the bass response is quite captivating and extremely good above 100Hz.

Sound: Bass

The Sennheiser HD 560s works incredibly with well-extended bass particularly for open-back even though the sub frequencies and rumble are lacking in it. The mid-bass is lacking in these headsets which is a disadvantage for a headset like this.

People preferably value bass over anything else as the sub-bass notes and dense under stokes play a vital role in delivering music. There is a texture lacking in the mid-bass, as some notes of different instruments unanimously sound the same.

Sound: Midrange

It doesn’t work well on the upper mids as the linear bass response doesn’t respond promptly. Whereas, the lower mids work incredibly well. They are balanced when it comes to tone and are smart due to the soundstage and imaging.

Sound: Treble

When it comes to lower treble peaks it could be not so worthy for treble-sensitive people. It is not likely to them unpeaceful for them. Whereas, when talking about the upper treble then that is what makes it well-extended. The best thing about them is that they don’t exaggerate any sort of air frequencies. As they put more emphasis somewhat near 15 KHz to keep it controlled. The HD 560s are not killing much in the treble but the overall resolution is too good to be true.

Packaging Box:

Packaging Box

The Sennheiser HD 560s comes in an ordinary and usual cardboard box and there’s nothing overwritten on the box.

-What’s Inside the Box?

  1. Sennheiser HD 560s headphones
  2. 3m 6.35mm single terminated cable
  3. 6.35mm to 3.5mm adapter cable
  4. Quick Manual
  5. Safety Guide

Internals and Housing:

The Sennheiser HD 560s is an incredible headset of all time. It uses the ultimately redesigned 40mm drivers, despite using a previous-generation housing which has become an old school-fashioned over time. The driver control is way better as they are scaled at an angle from the ear for smart performance.

Frequently Asked Questions- FAQs:

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about Sennheiser HD 560s headphones;

Are this HD 560s Stable?

Yes, the Sennheiser HD 560s have a stable fit and are on point. They don’t fall off your head due to the fact they are tight for many people. So, it won’t move or slip from your head even after some head movements. But it can be uncomfortable for some people and it’s quite obvious that they are not designed for workouts and jogging.

Is HD 560S open-back?

Yes, the Sennheiser HD 560s Headsets are open-back when it comes to sound and do not sound like usual 600 series headphones. On the other hand, the imaging is also precise and on-point for people as the accurate instrument placement is made.

Is Macro Dynamics lacking in HD 560s?

You can’t be sure of it but the fact should be kept in mind that some macro dynamics punches are lacking due to the low sub-bass rumble. They are above average but users are not so overwhelmed by the performance. However, the separation is above the average for some, and for some, they have considerable options available.

Comparison Sennheiser HD 560S Vs Sennheiser HD 650:

The Sennheiser has been the incredibly wanted headset of all time and the benchmark it has set for the past 20 years has been an immense success.

  • The quality and high performances provided by Sennheiser in the past 20 years are undeniable and overwhelming and after 20 years still, they are creating that difference and improvements to date.
  • The most prominent improvement in my point of view is imaging and staging, the HD 560s outperforms the HD 650 in both aspects and the bass extension in the case of the HD 560 is even better than the HD 650 sounds embassies.
  • When it comes to midrange the HD560 doesn’t work very well. Whereas, the HD 650 has a better midrange with high vocal articulation. The treble is also on point and the bass is perfect on the mids and the mid-bass texture is way more exceptional.
  • The 600 series headphones are a pro at providing improved separation for smart performance.

Bottom- Line:

The Sennheiser HD 560s has become an incredibly amazing and unique headset pair. It has the perfect bass response, neutralized midrange, lower-treble emphasis, soundstage, and imaging, and is easy to drive are some of the most popular key features of the HD 560s Headset.

The only thing that Sennheiser is kind of incompetent at is the pricing of this model as it is the same as of past sets but the features are not the same. Overall, the HD 560s is a full package of smart, budget-friendly, and competent headsets of all time. Hope now you would better understand if it’s still worthy buying or it isn’t.
